A 27-year-old Eagle man who was scheduled to stand before a jury July 19 on charges of sexually assaulting his niece and sister instead intends to enter a plea Aug. 20, according to court records.
The man, who is not named here to protect the identity of his victims, is charged in Walworth County Circuit Court with repeated sexual assault of a child and sexual assault of a child younger than 16.
Instead of a jury trial beginning July 19, a plea hearing was set for next month to see whether the charges against the man can be consolidated with Waukesha County charges against him. He was charged May 14 in Waukesha County Circuit Court with second-degree sexual assault of a child.
According to the criminal complaint in the Walworth County case:
The man's 18-year-old niece told police Oct. 21 that he sexually assaulted her at his East Troy home from the time she was 6 years old until she was 8. The woman said she and her family would visit her uncle's home on weekends, and the assault occurred nearly every weekend for two years and ended when the accused got a girlfriend.
The woman said her uncle would take her into a storage room and assault her. He also allegedly would masturbate in front of her.
The accuser's 24-year-old sister told police Oct. 23 that when she was 13 years old, he came into her room naked when she was in bed and attempted sexual intercourse. The woman said she was able to push her brother off of her.
