Paperback books will be sold for 50 cents and hardcover books for $1. DVDs, videos and CDs will also be available for $1.
Rare editions or signed copies of books are in a separate category and are priced according to their value.
Book donations are welcome for the sale. Funds raised from the sale make special projects possible, including youth and adult programming, on-line book clubs, and new books, CDs and DVDs for the library collection.
In addition to the book sale, historic LIFE Magazines will also be available for purchase as a part of the ongoing Friends of the Library LIFE Magazine Sale. The library's collection includes more than 700 magazines, covering the years 1936-1972 and 1978-2000 but is not comprehensive. The standard price for each issue is $10 with select magazines sold for higher prices based on their assessed values.
The Friends welcome new members throughout the year with annual dues of $5. Dues for lifetime membership are also popular and are offered with a one-time gift of $100. Enrollment applications are available at the library's circulation desk.
